Glen Michael "Mike" Scott

Glen Michael "Mike" Scott, 70, passed away peacefully on July 16, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family after a brief but courageous battle with cancer.

Mike grew up in St. Charles, Missouri, where he developed a lifelong love of baseball. He graduated from Orchard Farm High School with the Class of 1974 and attended East Central College on a baseball scholarship. Baseball and music remained lifelong passions, and one of his greatest joys was passing them on to his sons, Chris and Tyler. Through countless games, songs, and songwriting, he created memories they will carry forever.

In 1986, Mike began his career with PQ Corporation, where he dedicated 35 years before retiring in 2021. He was known for his strong work ethic, loyalty, and the lasting friendships he built throughout his career.

Music became the soundtrack of Mike's life. Whether performing with fellow musicians or entertaining friends, he found great joy in sharing his talent. He also loved golfing, valuing both the game and the friendships it brought.

Mike shared 37 wonderful years of marriage with his beloved wife, Sandy. Together they enjoyed traveling, especially cruises, and looked forward to spending their retirement making memories and planning new adventures. He also cherished visits with Sandy's family from Wisconsin, always enjoying the laughter and time together.

He is lovingly remembered by his devoted wife, Sandra; his sons, Christopher Scott and Tyler Scott; his cherished granddaughter, Ellie Scott; Ellie's mother, Emily, who remained a valuable part of the family; his nephews, Jason (Rachel) and Derek Schoene; and many extended family members, dear friends, former coworkers, fellow musicians, and golfing buddies.

Mike was preceded in death by his parents, Edward Glen Scott and Antonette Scott; his sister, Deborah Gaskin; and many beloved grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and other family members.

Mike's family extends heartfelt gratitude to the compassionate staff of DeGreef Hospice House for the exceptional care and dignity they provided during his final days. They are also deeply thankful for the love and support shown by family, friends, neighbors, coworkers, and fellow musicians through every prayer, visit, phone call, meal, and act of kindness.

A memorial gathering in Mike's honor will be held at Baue Funeral Home Cave Springs on Tuesday, July 28, 2026, from 4:00PM until 8:00PM.

Mike will be remembered for his love of family, baseball, music, golf, and travel, his warm smile, generous spirit, and the friendships he built throughout his life.

His greatest legacy was not only the music he played or the games he loved, but the countless lives he touched through his kindness, humor, and friendship. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved him.

Memorials may be made in Glen's name to the American Cancer Society.
