Gladys L. Carter

Gladys Louise Carter (née Hill), of O'Fallon, MO, passed away on Thursday, July 17, 2025, at the age of 98. She is survived by her daughter, Barbara Carter; grandchildren, Lisa (Gustavo) Barrera and Heather (Dustin) Thiele; and great-grandchildren, Sophia Thiele and Alexandra Baker. She was preceded in death by her parents, Bernice and Gladys N. Hill; her daughters, Patricia Carter and Donna Carter; and her beloved fur-baby, Abby.

Gladys had a vibrant and artistic spirit, expressing her creativity through crafting wreaths, angels, and crosses made from ornate ribbons, as well as diamond painting and stained glass. She loved teaching her grandchildren how to sew and was known for her fun and outgoing personality. Independent and headstrong, she was also deeply loving and devoted to her family. Affectionately known as "Mimi" and "Grams" by her grandchildren, they were the light of her life. Gladys was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Memorials may be made in Gladys's name to St. Jude’s or The Humane Society.
