Geraldine M. “Geri” Widel (nee: Ziegler), of St. Charles, Missouri, passed away on Friday, February 24, 2017, at the age of 80. Beloved wife of the late Thomas Gerald Widel, Sr.; cherished daughter of the late Richard and Grace Ziegler; devoted mother of Thomas (Barbara) Widel, Jr., Mary Margaret Kelly, Joan Elaine (Karl) Nodland, Linda Ann Grooms (Gregory Allen), the late Paul Curtis Widel, and the late Pamela Marie Widel; loving grandmother of Joseph, Jessica, Rachael, Tommy, Phillip, Chelsea, Meghan, Kimberly, and Erika; treasured great-grandmother to many; dear sister of Donald (Barbara) Ziegler; and treasured sister-in-law of Bob (Cathy) Widel. She was also preceded in death by her siblings, Richard, Alice, Mary, Jean, and Joan.
