Geraldine Ruth Beckmann

Geraldine "Gerri" Ruth Beckmann of St. Charles, born in 1929 passed away on April 23rd at the age of 97. Beloved wife of the late Clarence Beckmann. Their marriage was blessed with 4 children: Ron (Deb), Dennis (Cindy), Sue (John), and Tami (Mark). Her family grew to include 11 grandchildren, 12 g-grandchildren, and 5 g-g-grandchildren. Clarence & Gerri had celebrated 50 years of marriage in 1999.

Her faith was an important part of her life, and she faithfully attended Holy Cross Lutheran Church in O’Fallon. Her foundation in the Christian faith inspired her to bring joy & love to everyone she met. She was very active at her church and joined the JOY Group where she cooked dinners for the men’s club and organized the Cradle Roll for ten years, sending children birthday cards and other material.

Gerri was preceded in death by her brothers, Melvin & Lloyd Schlattman, and one sister, Dorothy Adams.

For many years, and while living in Foristell, Gerri devoted her time to working at the Thrift shop which was connected with Immanuel Lutheran Church in Wentzville.

There are no words to express how grateful we are for the staff at Lake St. Charles Retirement Community who cared for her so compassionately and respectfully over the past two years.

She was deeply loved and will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
