Gerald Paul Hirtz

Gerald Hirtz, of St. Peters, MO, passed away Saturday, February 21, 2026, at the age of 93. Beloved husband of the late Doris Hirtz; son of the late George and Bertha Hirtz; father of Kim Whelchel, Gordon (Donna) Hirtz, and Valerie Hirtz; dear brother of Gene (Dee) Hirtz and brother-in-law of Betty Hirtz; loving grandfather of 4, great-grandfather of 10, and great-great-grandfather of 2 plus one on the way.

He is preceded in death by his first wife, Elaine Hirtz, and his brothers, Robert Hirtz and Jack Hirtz.

Jerry served in the Army and was stationed in Berlin, Germany. He went on to build a dedicated career as a Construction Project Manager building banks across the United States. He was a valued member of American Legion Post 313, the Knights of Columbus, and the Mid-America Carpenters Union. Jerry was an easy going guy who will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
