Gerald “Rip” Grasser, of St. Peters, MO, passed away Monday, June 9, 2025, at the age of 95. Loving husband of the late Peggy Grasser; beloved son of the late Harry and Frances Grasser; devoted father of Cindy Grasser, Shane (Kim) Grasser, and Scott Grasser; cherished grandfather of Megan Middleton, Josh (Megan) Grasser, Cody (Kathleen) Grasser, Travis (Maddie) Grasser, Tyler Grasser, Ben Grasser, Samantha Grasser, and Duncan Grasser; treasured great-grandfather of Audrey, Tyler, Owen, Barrett, Evelyn, and Eleanor; dear brother of Charles Grasser, Chris Grasser, and Frank Grasser. He is also preceded in death by his 7 siblings.
Rip proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps. He was married to the love of his life, Peggy, for nearly 71 wonderful years. Together, they cherished dining out, visiting family, and attending their grandchildren’s sporting events.
In 1975, Rip founded Grasser Electric, a business that reflected his dedication and entrepreneurial spirit. Outgoing and full of life, Rip was known for his fun-loving nature and was especially adored as a grandpa. In his younger years, he enjoyed dancing and always had a deck of cards nearby—Gin was his game of choice. He found great joy working on the family farm, especially raising cattle, and it became one of his favorite pastimes. Rip was a founding member of the Loyal Order of the Squirrels.
Rip was deeply loved and will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Memorials may be made in Gerald's name to Loyal Order of the Squirrels.
