Gerald "Butch" Briley

Gerald “Butch” Briley, of St. Charles, MO, passed peacefully Thursday, April 11, 2024, at the age of 77. Beloved husband of Patricia Briley; cherished son of the late Gerald J. and Ethel L. Briley; devoted father of Leslee (Patrick) Vallie, Craig (Kristen) Briley, and Rebecca Sutton; loving grandfather of Michael Briley, Blair Vallie, Amelia Briley, Alyson Sutton, and Ava Grace Briley; treasured great grandfather of Tyler Briley; dear brother of Russell Briley, Sandra Barrett, the late Deanie Allen, the late Sharon Schlenther, and the late Leonard Briley. He also leaves his beloved dogs, Sonny James, and Suzy.

Butch and Pat have been married for 50 years and he loved his family more than anything. He served admirably in the United States Navy. A devout member of the Chapel of the Cross St. Peters, Butch found comfort in his faith, regularly attending Bible study sessions. In his later years, he found joy tending to his vegetable garden. Known for his reliability and a delightful sense of humor, Butch touched the lives of many with his kindness and helpfulness. He leaves behind a legacy of love and fond memories, deeply missed by all who were fortunate enough to know him.
