Following his service in the Air Force, he dedicated over 30 years to his career as a pipefitter at Lever Brothers. He retired at the age of 56 but continued to keep himself busy working for the St Charles Parks Department as well as Sears Hardware.
Gerald enjoyed staying active and spending time in the outdoors; running, biking, skiing and golfing were some of his favorite activities. With a creative nature, he often turned to creating stained glass, leather work and completing countless jigsaw puzzles. He was an adventurous soul and an avid traveler. Above all, he was a family man. He never missed an opportunity to brag about his children, grandchildren, or great-grandchildren.
He will be dearly missed by his family and all who knew him.
