George F. Petry

George Frances Petry, of Saint Peters, MO, passed away Monday, June 1, 2026, at the age of 86. Beloved husband of Bernice Juanita Petry; cherished son of the late George Raymond and Helen Petry; devoted father of Stacie Petry and George "Dan" Petry; dear brother of Richard (the late Laura) Petry, Judy Verhaeke, Allen (Theresa) Petry, Wanda (Terry) Lancaster, the late Barbara (the late Clay) Bolland, and the late Robert (Maggie) Petry; dedicated uncle and friend.

George proudly and honorably served his country in the United States military. He was a dedicated member of Missouri Masonic Lodge #1, as well as the Scottish Rite and the Shrine. An avid fisherman through and through, George loved spending time outdoors and took great pride in tying his own flies. He cherished the many years spent with his family at Pomme de Terre Lake, creating memories that will be treasured for generations.

George and Bernice shared nearly 58 wonderful years of marriage, building a life together centered on love, family, and friendship. He was a good neighbor and a kind, generous man with a heart of gold. George was blessed with many friends and was always someone they could depend on when they needed a helping hand or a listening ear.

In addition to his love of fishing, George enjoyed model airplanes and had a passion for adventure. He was especially enthusiastic about drag racing cars and embraced the excitement and camaraderie that came with the sport.

George was dearly loved by his family and friends and will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Memorials may be made in George's name to Shriners Children's Hospital or BackStoppers.
