August 21, 1944 — April 10, 2024

Wentzville, Missouri

George Andrew Link, of Wentzville, MO, passed away Wednesday, April 10, 2024, at the age of 79. Beloved husband of Mary Sue (Bone) Link; cherished son of the late Jane Irma and Andrew Lester Link; devoted father of Samantha (Michael) Stringer, and the late Tori (Link) Rolwes; loving grandfather of Alec, Addie, and Chaise Rowles, Ellyse (Joe) Amsler, Donovan Meyer, and Marybeth Stringer; dear brother of James Andrew (Marcia) Link, and the late Francesca Ann Salmieri; brother-in-law of Ina (Bone) Watson; treasured uncle of a host of nieces and nephews.
George grew up in St. Ann before he relocated to O'Fallon in 1959, and then to the Wentzville area in 1964. On June 27, 1964, he wed Mary Sue Bone in O'Fallon, MO, and together they established homes in O'Fallon Hills, Lake Saint Louis, and two residences in the Wentzville region. Their 223-acre farm in Glasgow, MO became a cherished retreat for George, where he enjoyed deer hunting, trailblazing, and hosting loved ones. Renowned for his passion for BBQ and nurturing wildlife, George's affable nature garnered him many friends in the community. With failing eyesight in 2018, they transitioned back to Wentzville. A pioneer in Bigfoot monster truck driving, George traversed the nation showcasing the Bigfoot trucks in the 1980s, relishing trips to the East Coast, particularly Maine, and elk hunting expeditions with his brother in Colorado, Montana, and Alaska. He founded I-70 Auto Repair, GTS Towing, and a fiberglass business pivotal in crafting numerous monster trucks. Later, he expanded his ventures with I-70 Truck Towing and Recovery. George's passing leaves a profound void among those who held him dear, his legacy enduring through the fond memories he created.

Memorials may be made in George's name to Shriners or Susan G. Komen ‑ Breast Cancer Foundation.
