George Ralph Kendle

George Ralph Kendle, of Saint Peters, MO, peacefully passed away Tuesday, November 21, 2023, at the age of 86. Born in Salina, KS, September 2, 1937, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife Sharon Kendle; parents Ralph and Louise Kendle; sisters: Pauline and Letha; brothers: David and Warren; and daughter Christine Weiss. He is survived by his son Greg (Jill) Kendle and their children: Joshua, Jocelyn, Jordan, Joy; and his son Randy (Kelly) Kendle and their children: Michael, Pamela, Kevin, Joseph, Amy, Jacob, Benjamin, Bethany; and Christine Weiss’ children: Megan and Adam; and twelve great-grandchildren.   

George decided as a young man to put his faith and trust in Jesus Christ to forgive him of his sins and seal his eternal life in heaven through the death, burial, and resurrection of his Lord and Savior. He was a lifelong member of the Lutheran Church, Missouri Synod. He served numerous terms as an Elder and a Head Elder. He loved the Word of God and taught numerous classes on biblical theology.  

He graduated from high school in Salina, KS and started his working career at National Cash Register (NCR). He went from sweeping floors to Sales and Education and completed his career as the Director of the Dallas Infomart showroom with nearly 40 years of service.  

As a young man, he spent numerous hours working on, and racing cars as a hobby. Later on, he enjoyed finance, investing, and aviation. He was also fascinated by biblical archeology, astronomy, and loved to gaze upward, amazed by God’s creation of the stars, planets, and galaxies.    

He was a very kind and friendly person. When gathered with family and friends, he was always witty. Above all, George loved his family. He was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.    

Memorials may be made in George's name to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
