St. Charles, Missouri

Geneva Juanita Kuchta (nee Kobalasky), of Saint Peters, MO, passed away Thursday, January 15, 2026 at the age of 98. Beloved wife of the late Charles T. Kuchta; cherished daughter of the late Frank and Sadie Kobalasky; devoted mother of Terry Lynn, Chuck Kuchta, and Mark (Theresa) Kuchta; loving grandmother of Jim (Nancy) Orr, Dawn (Mark) Luetkemeyer, Diane (Jeff) Anderson, Zach Kuchta, and Lauren (Zach) Johnson; treasured great-grandmother of Ashley Orr, Ryan Orr, Adam Luetkemeyer, Abby Luetkemeyer, Taylor Anderson, and Blake Anderson, adoring Aunt and Friend to so many.

Geneva was a devoted wife, loving mother and grandmother, and a woman whose life was centered around family, hard work and caring for others. Married for 55 wonderful years, she grew up on a farm as an only child helping with the daily chores, attended a one-room schoolhouse walking 5 miles to school, and carried that work ethic and family values with her throughout her life.

She loved children and worked at Riverview Garden’s school cafeteria before she transitioned to Oak Knoll Nursing Home as the head cook. Once retired, she worked at Hope Day Care and continued her path caring for others.

An exceptional cook known for her fried chicken and pierogies, she will forever be remembered for her family dinners, holiday celebrations, reunions at the farm and vacationing at Table Rock Lake and Indian Hills. She began the tradition of the “goody bag” which will continued to be honored in her absence.

Geneva enjoyed bowling, playing softball and listening to music such as Elvis, Frank Sinatra and Dolly Parton. She was punctual, humble and had great penmanship, known for writing letters often to her family. She loved getting dressed up, cherished animals especially horses and was fiercely protective of those she loved. Above all, Geneva was all about family and adored her grandchildren, taking them on vacations and creating lasting memories.

She will always be remembered dancing the polka at receptions with her husband and we are at peace knowing she is now reunited with him in heaven.

She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
