Oxford, Gaylon Ray of Urbana, MO, died on Tuesday, January 13, 2015, at the age of 74. Beloved son of the late Ebert and Mary Oxford; cherished father of Karen (Tom) Travis, Tony (Vicki) Oxford, Rae (Brian) Keil; cherished grandfather of Chad Travis, Melanie (John) Massey, Megan Travis, Zachary Oxford and Tori Oxford; treasured great-grandfather of Breanne Travis; dear brother of Alma Bowen, Danny (Vicky) Oxford, Terry (Barbara) Oxford and Jimmy Duke. Gaylon is also survived by his black Lab, Zee, who he loved so much, and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his sisters Mary Bost and Carolyn Mungel, and brother Bill Oxford.
Gaylon enjoyed watching western movies, the St. Louis Cardinals and horse races. He also enjoyed fishing, hunting, and anything involving the outdoors. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
