Gary Lee Trankler, of O’Fallon, MO, passed away Tuesday, November 19, 2024, at the age of 77. Beloved and devoted husband of the late Barbara Trankler; cherished son of the late Milfred and Mary Trankler; devoted and loving father of Kevin (Amy) Trankler and Gina (David) Balch; cherished and loving grandfather of Jacob, Isabella, and Nicholas; brother of Larry (Joan) Trankler, Beverly (Jim) Arnold, Dale (Joyce) Trankler, and the late Mary Jane Trankler.
Gary was an electrical engineer by trade and was employed at Lucent Technologies. He had a deep love for his family, and together with his wife and children, they enjoyed traveling and creating cherished family memories. After his retirement from Lucent, he selflessly & graciously devoted many years as a compassionate caregiver to his beloved wife before her passing. His life was centered around his children and grandchildren, for whom he did everything. A devoted grandfather, Gary took immense joy in attending his grandchildren's activities, whether it was cheering from the stands at hockey games or celebrating their achievements on the baseball field. His presence was a constant source of encouragement, and his love for them knew no bounds. He was a man of gentle guidance and unwavering support, serving as the rock for his children and grandchildren. His mark on his two children, their spouses and his grandchildren will never be forgotten. Memories made together will forever be cherished. He was dearly loved and will be forever missed.
Gary had a special fondness for animals; especially his many fur grand-dogs. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Gary's name to Five Acres Animal Shelter in St. Charles, MO.
Services to be held privately with family on Tuesday, November 26, 2024, at the Baue Care & Cremation Center in St. Charles, MO.
