Gary is preceded in death by both of his beloved parents along with other family and friends.

During the 1980s Gary worked in Jennings Corrections prior going to police academy and becoming Jennings Police officer.

In the 1990s Gary changed career fields and moved into healthcare. He graduated from St. John’s Mercy School of Radiology Technology and began working as an X-ray tech. Throughout the years Gary worked at various hospitals in the St. Louis area doing imaging and procedures in the cardiac Cath lab.

In the 2000s Gary combined his practical knowledge with a more consultative approach. He begin helping practitioners understand best practices for using a couple organization’s life saving devices. His last position was a Senior Clinical Specialist in the Vascular Division at Abbott Labs.

Gary was a kind person that never met a stranger. As a testament to both his welcoming nature and his faith, he was rebaptized at the end of May when he happened upon a group of people performing a beach baptism while on vacation in Florida. Sadly, he suffered a stroke a week later. He worked hard to rehab, and was able to return to work, but some of the lasting effects were too much. Gary was loved and will be greatly missed.

Memorial contributions can be made in honor of Gary to the Tunnel 2 Towers or the Stroke Foundation.
