Gary was a dedicated and hardworking man who spent nearly 40 years as the owner and operator of Gary Patton Service Company, as well as 30 years with General Motors. Gary was known for his willingness to lend a helping hand, often doing repairs around the Knights of Columbus Hall, where he was also a proud member and captain of the bingo team. He loved hunting, horseshoes, bowling, golfing, and cheering on his beloved St. Louis Cardinals. A lifelong baseball fan, Gary made it a point to visit every major league baseball stadium. Some of his grandchildren’s favorite memories were tractor rides with Grandpa to the little store down the road for candy and a “sodie”. He had a wonderful sense of humor, loved joking with others, and was a loyal friend to many. Above all else, Gary deeply loved his family, especially his grandchildren and all the babies who brought him endless joy. Gary was deeply loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Memorials may be made in Gary's name to the Alzheimer’s Association or Parkinson’s Foundation.
