Gary John Hobson

Gary John Hobson, of Lake Saint Louis, MO, passed away Friday, August 22, 2025, at the age of 81. Beloved husband of the late Barbara Anne "Da" (nee Trent) Hobson; cherished son of the late Robert and Bernice Hobson; devoted father of John Trent (Michele Maria) Hobson and Brenda (James) Lynch; loving grandfather of Anthony Trent (Samantha Claire) Hobson, Conner Michael (Kara Elizabeth Fialka) Lynch, Bradley Alan Hobson, James E. Lynch, III, and Clayton Thomas Lynch; dear brother of Sherry Thomas.

Gary was a devoted man of God, committed deeply to both his faith and his family. He served faithfully as a Deacon in his church and was a proud U.S. Army Veteran, demonstrating unwavering loyalty to his country. A dedicated member of the Freemasons, Gary achieved the distinguished rank of Grand Master Mason in 1974.

Gary was a hardworking and accomplished professional who excelled in the Rural Electric Community, leading to roles with esteemed organizations such as Cotton Rural Electric, Canadian Valley Rural Electric, the National Rural Utilities Cooperative Finance Corporation; ultimately finishing his career as Co-Founder and Chairman of Cooperative Building Solutions in St. Louis. Beyond his career, Gary had a deep passion for motorsports and racing, and he especially enjoyed watching dirt track racking and NASCAR whenever he had the chance.

Memorials may be made in Gary's name to Dardenne Presbyterian Church.
