Gary L. Fugate

Gary L. Fugate, of St. Charles, MO, passed away Thursday, June 18, 2026, at the age of 88. Beloved husband of the late Evelyn Lorraine Fugate; cherished son of the late Merle and Gail Fugate; devoted father of Karmen Fugate, Kim (Gerry) Friedland, and the late Kristi Bishoff; loving grandfather of Erin Jepsen, Amy Jepsen, Kelsey Jepsen, Haley Bishoff, and Brandy Bishoff.

Gary dedicated 40 years of his career to Boeing as an aerospace engineer. He was a proud member of the Freemasons through St. Charles Lodge and enjoyed sharing his love of music as a member of the St. Charles Municipal Band. Outside of work, Gary was an avid car enthusiast and restorationist who found great joy in bringing classic vehicles back to life. He was also a devoted dog lover whose compassion extended to every animal he met. Above all, Gary loved his family deeply and treasured the time spent with those closest to him. Gary was deeply loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. In honor of Gary’s vibrant spirit and love of life, the family kindly requests that attendees wear a Hawaiian shirt to his services.
