Gary "Woody" Chronister

Gary Frank Chronister, of Saint Peters, MO, passed away Thursday, August 31, 2023 at the age of 75. Beloved son of the late Ray & Vera Chronister; dear brother of Carolann Osterloh, Lauvena (James) Fortner, James (Lois) Chronister, Betty (Randy) Hargis, Don (Donna) Chronister, and Tom (Kari) Chronister. Gary is preceded in death by his sister, Jean Declue and brother, Ed Hodge.

Gary proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam Conflict. Gary worked as a certified nursing assistant. Following his retirement, he was active as a member of Amvets #106, VFW #5077 Auxiliary, and the American Legion. He had also served as the Provost Marshall of Amvets. Following his discharge, he began work with the Veterans' Administration. Gary was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
