Gare Kraemer

Gare R. Kraemer, of New Melle, MO, passed away Sunday, December 21, 2025 at the age of 82. Loving husband of Shirley A. Kraemer; beloved son of the late Gertrude A. and Roy E. Kraemer; devoted father of Sharlene (Randy) Powers, and Shanna (Robert Heiman) Kraemer, cherished grandfather of Ryan (Cheyenne) Powers, Sarah (Conner) Walkenhorst, Suzy (Kenneth) Hillen, and Jayson Ranner; treasured great-grandfather of Gracie Hillen, Blair Powers, and Baby Walkenhorst.

Gare was a proud Ham Radio operator with the call sign KØUUH in St. Charles, Missouri, and a dedicated storm spotter. He had a lifelong love of the road, riding motorcycles since the age of 14 and appreciating all types of bikes. Adventurous by nature, he once rode his bicycle from Brentwood Boulevard to Babler State Park and enjoyed fishing and boating in his younger years.

Known for his ability to fix and figure out anything, Gare loved traveling in his RV and showing off his truck. A devoted father and grandfather, he cherished time spent helping his children and grandchildren with projects—often in creative and memorable ways. A history buff with a special passion for St. Louis history, Gare never met a stranger and was fondly nicknamed “The Senator.”

Gare was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. As he would say, “Goodbye for now” or in other words 73, KØUUH out.
