Gage Thomas Huesgen

Gage Thomas Huesgen, of Wentzville, MO, passed away Monday, November 21, 2022, at the age of 16. Cherished son of Greg and Amy Huesgen; dear brother of Ethan Huesgen; loving grandson of Jane & the late Carl Huesgen and Helen and the late James Batson; treasured nephew of Rhonda (Shawn) Peter, Dan (Michelle) Huesgen, Tonya (Patrick) Gilmore, Sherry (Paul) Mertz and Kevin (Valerie) Batson; cherished cousin of Zachary, Luke and Madison Peter, Lukas and Stella Huesgen, Jeffrey and Ryan Gilmore, Sarah and Lexi Saltzman, and Andrew and Taylor Batson. Gage also cherished his four-legged companions, Tiger, Copper and the late Molly.  

Gage was intelligent and an excellent student. He went to Emge Elementary and Fort Zumwalt West Middle School and was in the Gifted Program from Kindergarten through 8th grade. He was currently a student at Saint Louis Priory High School. Gage loved the community that he found there. He ran Cross Country and was a member of the robotics club. You could often find him in the stands of a St. Louis Priory hockey game, cheering on the team with friends. Although Gage enjoyed playing baseball, basketball, and other sports, his passion was education and challenging himself through his classes. He attended both Truman State and Vanderbilt summer programs where he enjoyed learning and making new friends from all over the country. 

Gage had the softest heart of gold, the kindest spirit, and was very humble. He was a friend to everyone and would not hesitate to help others. He loved reading, traveling, spending time outdoors, and could often be found relaxing, reading, or studying in his favorite part of the house, the deck.  Most importantly, he cherished spending time with his family and friends. Gage was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. 

Memorials may be made in Gage's name to Saint Louis Priory High School or Five Acres Animal Shelter.
