Fred Joseph Waltman

Fred Joseph "Fritz" Waltman, of St. Charles, MO, passed away Saturday, May 17, 2025, at the age of 91. Beloved husband of Mary Waltman; cherished son of the late Elvis and Imogen Waltman; devoted father of Connie (Marty Villmer) Waltman, Tracy Cartier, Todd (Kathleen) Reineke, the late Scott Allen Reineke; loving grandfather of David Reineke, James Reineke, and Harry Reineke; dear brother of Sharon (the late Rich) Triola and the late Paul (Ruth) Waltman.

Fritz was an avid sports fan who especially enjoyed Cardinals baseball and Mizzou football. He and his beloved wife, Mary, shared 32 wonderful years of marriage. An active and outdoorsy man, Fritz loved biking, skiing, boating, and staying busy outside. He was a proud Army veteran and served as a paratrooper. He had a deep appreciation for jazz music and took great joy in barbecuing for his family. Though quiet by nature, Fritz was warm and friendly, and he especially cherished attending his grandsons' events and cheering them on. He was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Memorials may be made in Fritz’s name to New Hope Presbyterian Church.
