Beloved husband of the late Elizabeth Schmieder; loving father of Sharon (Bob) Barrett, Frankie, Priscilla and Christopher (Michelle) Schmieder, and Mary (Mark) Peters; proud grandfather of 13, great-grandfather of 20, great-great-grandfather of 1. Preceded in death by parents, Francis and Mamie Schmieder, daughter, Beth McCloud; brother, Ralph Schmieder; sisters, Marie Mueller and Margaret Rohlfing. Dear Uncle and Friend. Mr. Schmieder was a longtime parish member of Assumption Catholic Church in O'Fallon and a member of the Graphic Arts Union Local #505 He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. Prior to his retirement, he was a supervisor for James Rivers Packaging in St. Louis, Missouri for 45 years
