Francis “Frank” Griesbauer, of St Paul, MO, passed away Wednesday, April 25, 2018, at the age of 89. Beloved husband of the late Clarita "Rita" T. Griesbauer; beloved son of the late Frank and Caroline Griesbauer; devoted father of Jay (Amy) Griesbauer; cherished grandfather of Joshua (Tia) Welker and Payden (Kylie) Welker; treasured great-grandfather of Colton, Wyatt, and Naman; dear brother of Dolores (the late Bill) Gnade, Vernon "Preacher" (Celine) Griesbauer, and Marvin "George" (Lucille) Griesbauer, and brother-in-law of Mary "Liz" Griesbauer; beloved uncle, cousin, and friend to many. Francis is preceded in death by his brother, Arthur "Butch" Griesbauer; and sister, Dorothy "Dot" (the late Gene) Lohman.
Francis proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. He was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church, St. Paul Knights of Columbus, and the Wentzville American Legion. In 2016 Francis was inducted into the St. Charles County Amateur Sports Hall of Fame for Horseshoe Pitching. Francis worked for General Motors for 28 years. He was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
