Floyd “Junior” Pettitt, Jr.
June 24, 1924 — October 7, 2016
Pettitt, Floyd Ransom "Junior," Jr., of Winfield, MO, died on Friday, October 7, 2016, at the age of 92. Loving husband of the late Pearl Sophia Pettitt (nee: Prange); beloved son of the late Floyd Ransom, Sr. and Ethel Mae Pettitt; devoted father of Sandy and her husband, Glenn Ershen, Douglas John Pettitt, and daughter-in-law Janice Pettitt; cherished grandfather of Jeffrey Ryan Ershen, Jennifer Marie Pitts, and Angie Lynn Lawrence; treasured great-grandfather of Emily Rose, Austin James, Abbie Ruth, Ethan James, Tara Lynn, and Evan Michael; dear brother of Bobby Pettitt.
Floyd was also preceded in death by his son, Ronald Eugene Pettitt, his daughter, Kimberly Mae Pettitt, three infant children and his siblings: Geneva Keil, Gleason, Burl, and Carroll Pettitt.
Junior proudly served his country in the United States Army, Infantry B 750th FA BN during World War II. He loved gardening, flowers and driving his tractor. Junior was dearly loved and will be missed by all who knew him.
