Florinda “Flo” Ruth Hammond (nee Clay), of Lake Saint Louis, Missouri, passed away on Monday, April 3, 2017, at the age of 60. Beloved wife of the late Chester L. Hammond; cherished daughter of Elmer Clay and the late Virgie Mae Clay; devoted mother of Ashlee (Travis) Brock, Andrew (Kristi) Hammond, and Amari Hammond; loving grandmother of Xzavier Simmons, Sebastian Brock, and Mia Brock; dear sister of Carolyn Vakil, Roderick (Helen) Clay, Stanley (Maria) Clay, Keith Clay, Kim Clay, and the late Rocky Clay; and treasured godmother of Fallon (Adam) Galloway. She is also survived by many nieces, cousins, other relatives, and many friends.
Flo was also preceded in death by her grandmother, Flora Thomas.
Flo was a pharmacist at Schnucks for many years. She was a graduate of University of Missouri-Kansas City. While at UMKC, she played volleyball and basketball. In her free time, Flo loved traveling, antiquing, and spending time with her wonderful family. She was deeply loved, and will be missed by all who knew her.
