Florence Mae Wilken

Florence Mae Wilken (nee Wilson), of St. Charles, Missouri, passed away Thursday, August 13, 2020 at the age of 89. Loving wife for 57 years of the late Harold Wilken; beloved daughter of the late Herbert and Selma Wilson; devoted mother of Susan (David) Ferguson and Diane (the late Charles) Swanson; cherished grandmother of Joshua (Candace) Ferguson, Kathryn (Joel) Haywood, Jonathan (Natalie) Ferguson, Michael (Katie) Swanson, and Danielle (Devron) Martin; treasured great-grandmother of Arianna, Lilly, Micah, Charli Ann, Clay, and Briana. Florence is also preceded in death by her brother, James Wilson; and sister, Margaret McBride.




Florence now rests in the arms of Jesus through the mercy and grace of our Lord Jesus Christ. Florence served her Lord as the organist at Trinity Lutheran in Alton, IL, and part-time organist at Chapel of the Cross, St. Louis, MO. Most recently she was member of Zion Lutheran, St. Charles. She participated in choir, Ladies Aid and Bible class. She enjoyed playing cards, reading, and socializing with her many friends. She was very devoted to her daughters and their families. Florence was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.




In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials be made to Zion Lutheran Church or Alzheimer's Association
