Eugene “Rich” Shields

Shields, Eugene "Rich", of O'Fallon, Missouri, died on Wednesday, November 5, 2014 at the age of 72. Loving husband of Jackie Shields; beloved son of the late Eugene and Alice Shields; devoted father of Kelly (Donald) Colvis, Jackie (David) Bascio, and Rick (Mandy) Shields; cherished grandfather of Patrick, Samantha, Brendan, Nicole, Alyssa, Ava, Austin, Frankie Jo, and Gaby; dear brother of Alice (the late Gerald) Raftery, Irene (the late Bill) Davis, Pat (the late Denny) Tippett, Ben (Mary) Shields, John (Natalie) Shields, Jim (Melanie) Shields, and Brenda (Greg) Maycock; dear brother-in-law of Jim Brown and Ron Marchand; loving uncle, cousin, and friend to many. He is preceded in death by his sisters Mary Lou Brown and Sandra Marchand. Rich was a member of the Plumber and Pipe Fitter Union #562 for 53 years.
