Eugene “Gene” C. Keeven peacefully passed from his presence here on earth surrounded by his family to a place of peace, rest, and eternal life. His accomplishments in life are many. Serving in WWII, a successful career in Real Estate and the development of a golf course in 1993. His greatest joy was sharing days with his family and celebrating every milestone and his last celebrated birthday of 99 years. Eugene was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Gene is preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Adele Keeven; first wife of more than 50 years, Patricia Carol Keeven (née Jaspering); Survived by his wife of 12 years, Anne Keeven (née Zuis); the children of Gene and Pat, daughters Teresa (Tom Bradshaw) Keeven, Lisa A. (Joe) Reding, and Gina (Randy) Freiert; sons Jeffrey (Lindsay) Keeven and Eugene “Scott” (Glenna) Keeven; grandchildren Ashley (Nathan) Wehrheim, Nicholas (Jessie Kreutz) Keeven, Heather (Nate) Skarie, Michael (Niki) Reding, Cole (Rena) Keeven, Chad Keeven, Jordan Keeven, Dillon Keeven, Katelyn (Mike Dolinsky) Freiert, Matthew Freiert, and Tommy (Kelsey) Freiert; great-grandchildren Ashtyn, Logan “Lolo”, Connor, Chloe, Jacob, Lucas, Grace, Braden, Isabella, Daxon, Sofia, Eleanor, and Francesca “Frankie”; sister Marcella Poropat; and brother Melvin Keeven. Anne’s children, Mary & Mark Bergjans, Nancy & Tim Jacobsmeyer, Carolyn Welton, Cathy & Bob Heinsohn.
Gene is also preceded in death by five brothers Irwin “Irv” Keeven, Robert “Bob” Keeven, Walter “Chub” Keeven, Albert Keeven, and Joseph “Joey” Keeven; three sisters Aurella “Rea” Poegelmoller, Alice Wiedemeier, and Florence “Flo” Brenton; and infant brother Raymond Keeven.
In Lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Evelyn's House or Disabled American Veterans.
