Eugene Clarence Ell, of Saint Peters, MO, passed away Sunday, July 26, 2026, at the age of 92. Cherished son of the late Cecilia Louise and Arthur Louis Ell; dear uncle, great uncle, great- great uncle, and great - great - great uncle of many. Gene was a lifelong resident of St. Peters, where he was born and raised on Second Street. A dedicated businessman, he proudly worked and owned St. Peters Garage for 44 years, later passing the family business down through the generations. Gene was deeply committed to serving his community, volunteering with the St. Peters Fire Department, serving on the Fire Department Board, and representing his community on the St. Peters Board of Aldermen. In his free time, he enjoyed golfing, bowling, hunting, and traveling both across the country and abroad. He had a lifelong fascination with steam engines, one of his greatest passions. Gene also cherished spending time at the farm in Portland, Missouri, and relaxing at the clubhouse along the Mississippi River. Known for his easygoing nature, quick wit, and wonderful sense of humor, Gene made friends wherever he went and was loved by all who knew him. His kindness, dedication to his family and community, and warm spirit will be deeply missed and fondly remembered.

Memorials may be made in Gene's name to Solace Hospice House or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital
