Ethel Frances Nieweg

Ethel Frances Nieweg (nee: Kister), of Saint Charles, MO, passed away Wednesday, April 24, 2019 at the age of 95. Loving wife of 51 years to the late Carl Nieweg; beloved daughter of the late Hubert and Mary Kister; devoted mother of Mary Scheidegger; cherished grandmother of Laurie (Ryan) Doyle, Catherine (Darrell) Waltz, Jeanne(Jamie), Kelly(Roy), David(Misty), and Daniel(Krystal); treasured great-grandmother of Jessie(Steven), Haily(Lucas), Frankie, Mimi, Robbie, Erik, Drew, Natalee, Bryce, Mallory, Zack, Blair, and great great grandson Milo; dear sister of Thomas Kister and Paul Kister; and is also survived by Step grandchildren, Angelle and Ava. Ethel is preceded in death by her sons, Stephen Nieweg and David Paul Nieweg; and brother, Hubert Nieweg.

Ethel proudly served in the United States Airforce during World War II. She was a member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church and Married Ladies Sodality. Ethel loved to work in her flower garden and canned many vegetables that she grew. Ethel made her own root beer. She was a very involved and loving mama, grandma, great-grandma and great great grandma. She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
