Erma Fern Matthews

Matthews, Erma Fern (nee Mallory) of Sterling Heights, MI died January 23, 2014 at the age of 90.
Beloved wife of the late Don B. Matthews, mother of the late Lynn Hill and late Peggy Foegeding, survived by son Don Lee Matthews.  Grandmother of eleven grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Erma was born in Wright County, Missouri. Graduated from Southwest Missouri State University, and later earned a Master's Degree from University of Missouri, St. Louis.  In 1941, began her teaching career in a one room schoolhouse in Wright County, and concluded it 47 years later at Pattonville Senior High School in Maryland Heights, Mo.
Erma was a long time member of John Calvin Presbyterian Church in BridgetonMo.
The people, youth and adults, Erma influenced as both a teacher and servant of the Lord are too numerous to count.  She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
