Emma Marie Moran

Emma Marie Moran “Marie”, 90, of St. Charles, Missouri, passed away peacefully on August 1, 2026.

Marie was born on February 1, 1936, in Foley, Missouri, to William and Delia Lavy. She built a life centered on faith, family, hard work, and kindness. Marie retired from McDonnell Douglas after many years of dedicated service.

For more than 30 years, Marie was a faithful member of Grace Baptist Church, where she joyfully volunteered to serve in kitchen, the nursery, and as a greeter. She found great happiness in serving others and living out her faith through acts of kindness.

Marie loved playing cards, traveling, and spending time with family and friends. Her greatest joy in life was her family. She was a strong, loving woman who always put others before herself. Known for her generosity, warm heart, and wonderful sense of humor, Marie was always willing to lend a helping hand to friends and neighbors. She was an extraordinary grandmother who adored her grandchildren and loved spending time with them. Her love, encouragement, and unwavering support will be cherished by generations to come.

Marie is survived by her children: Roger Allen Moran and his wife, Ronna; Karen Lee Cook and her husband, Randy; Sandra Kay Brown and her husband, Tim; and Pamela Jo Dains and her husband, Roger. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, and her sister, Royce Turnbull, along with many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of many years, William “Buddy” Moran; her parents, William and Delia Lavy; her sister, Helen Gibson; her granddaughter, Angie Nordman; and her great-grandson, Jonathan Cook.

Marie’s legacy is one of love, compassion, strength, and selfless service. She leaves behind a family who was blessed by her unwavering devotion and countless memories that will be treasured forever. While her presence will be deeply missed, those who knew and loved her find comfort in knowing her love and faith will continue to live on in their hearts.
