Emelia Emke

February 15, 1925 — November 11, 2023

Emelia “Emmy” Emke (nee Friederich), of Saint Charles, MO, passed away Saturday, November 11, 2023, at the age of 98. Beloved wife of the late Robert Emke; cherished daughter of the late Henry and Emelia Friederich. Devoted mother of Mary Emke, Sr. Ruth Emke, Carolyn (Robert) Neff, Florence Emke, and Ralph (Gayle) Emke; loving grandmother of Catherine, Anne-Marie, Joseph, Thomas, Julie, Jennifer, Lisa, Kimberly, and Lori; treasured great-grandmother of 18 great-grandchildren.

Emmy was very strong in her faith, passionate, and loved her family more than anything. She often volunteered at St. Vincent de Paul and many other places. Emmy enjoyed quilting, playing cards, and going fishing. She also loved cooking and baking and made the most amazing meals and treats for her family. Emmy was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Emmy’s name to the School Sisters of Notre Dame.
