Eileen Marie Utiss (nee- Stock)

Utiss, Eileen (Stock) loving wife of David and mother of David (Kathy) Utiss Jr., Monica (John) Vohsen, and Elissa, after an arduous struggle with cancer was freed from the cares of this world to the peace of her greatest desire. She was preceded in death by her father Paul E Stock Jr. and is survived by her 6 grandchildren (David, Cassandra, Isabelle, and Victoria Utiss; Alex and Gretchen Vohsen), mother Elizabeth Stock, and ten siblings (Caroline, Paul, Betsy, PJ, Tom, MaryKay, Peg, Chuck, Fred, and Sheila). After graduating from St. Francis School of Nursing in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania in 1964 she began her nursing career as an RN at St. Francis Hospital (Pittsburgh) then moved on to be the RN manager at Kane Regional Hospital (Pittsburgh), RN Director of the cath lab at DePaul Hospital (St. Louis), and finished her career at Des Peres Hospital (St. Louis) as assistant manager of the cath lab. She will be remembered by her family and, many relatives and friends, as a most generous and giving person of great faith and determined spirit. Her zest for life, that shone in playful eyes and a welcoming smile, will be greatly missed by all, along with her hugs that could melt away any problem or pain. Family, friends and guests will be received at the Baue Funeral Home, 3950 W. Clay St., St. Charles, MO, Thursday June 16, 3-8pm. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at the St Elizabeth Ann Seton, 1 Seton Court, St. Charles, MO.
