Edward Underwood

Underwood, Ed, of St. Peters, Missouri, died on Monday, July 9, 2012 at the age of 68. Loving husband of Gloria Underwood NEE: Podleski; beloved son of the late Edward George and Beryl Underwood; devoted father of Daniel (Kathryn) Underwood and Victoria Underwood and step-father of Terri (Tim) McDevitt, Paul (Melissa) Frost, Carolyn (Kevin) Shanahan, David (Laura) Frost and Lisa Doty; treasured grandfather of Emily, Josh (Kristin), Meghin, Mary, Kaitlynn, Nichlaus, David, Chelsea, Rebecca, Brandon, Kevin, Connor and Sophia; dear brother-in-law of Barbara (Charles) Pohl and Jim Podleski; beloved "unkie" of Michele (Donald) Moore. He is preceded in death by his sister, LaVon Marshall. Ed was the Fire Chief for the City of St. Charles from 1971-1999. He is a past President and retired member of the Greater St. Louis Area Fire Chief Association, a member of the St. Charles Parks and Recreation Board, and a lifetime member of St. Charles Jaycees and Optimist International.
