Edward Paul Guthrie

Edward Paul Guthrie of Saint Peters, MO, passed away Friday, January 30, 2026 at the age of 97. Beloved husband of the late Creda Mae Guthrie; cherished son of the late William and Catherine Guthrie; devoted father of Chrisell Guthrie, William Guthrie, Judy (Greg) Smick, Kathy Puder, Sandra (Patrick) Duggan, Edward Guthrie and Kevin (Janet) Guthrie; loving grandfather of Jennifer Zorith, Matthew (Jennifer) Bredenkoetter, Michael (Jada) Puder, Jessica (Luke) Shocklee, Jacob (Ashley) Guthrie, Ashley Guthrie, Lauren Duggan and Jack Duggan; treasured great-grandfather of numerous great-grandchildren; dear brother of the late William Guthrie.

Edward proudly and honorably served in the United States Marines. Edward was an avid golfer and a proud member of a close circle of friends known as “The Men’s Club.” He loved crossword and jigsaw puzzles and was known as a very handsome man with a sharp sense of style—a true snappy dresser. A proud WWII Marine veteran, Edward spent his entire career with Coca-Cola, faithfully driving a delivery truck for many years. He was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Memorials may be made in Edward's name to St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital or Shriners Children’s Hospital.
