Edna "Carol" Sanders

Edna “Carol” Sanders (nee Pyles), of Hermann, MO, passed away Monday, July 13, 2026, at the age of 89. Loving wife of the late Johnny Lee Sanders; beloved daughter of the late Truman and Teresa Pyles; devoted mother of John (Debbie) Sanders, Jeff (Sheila) Sanders, and Chris (Maria) Sanders; cherished grandmother of Christel (Adam) Bryant, Trisha (Corey) Wright, Jamie (Michael) Ashworth, Justin Neskas, Jeffrey (Heather Willis) Sanders, Butch (Lindsey) Sanders, Jennifer (Matt) Winkler, Nikoa (Justin) Barker, Kamisha Marriott, Tyler (Katelyn) Sanders, and Kane (Kiki) Sanders; treasured great grandmother of Kayla, Brandon, Austin, Caden, Dani, Amera, Asik, Tayler, Jackson, Skylin, Wyatt, Lilly, Koston, Valla, Lucas, Hayden, Asher; adored great-great grandmother of Drayden, Lily, Archer; dear sister of James (Mara) Pyles and the late Pat (Bob) Bishop; sister-in-law of Sandra (Donnie) Jones.

Carol was devoted to her beloved husband, Johnny, sharing nearly 70 wonderful years of marriage before his passing. Together they found joy in camping, spending time outdoors, and appreciating the beauty of nature. Carol especially loved watching the squirrels and hummingbirds that visited her home. She also had a creative spirit and enjoyed making crafts and working with ceramics. Known for her gentle heart, Carol was thoughtful, kind, generous, and loving to everyone she met. Carol was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Memorials may be made in Edna's name to the Alzheimer's Association .
