Edgar “Bucky” Mason Oliver, of Saint Charles, MO, passed away Sunday, October 18, 2026, at the age of 87. Beloved husband of Patricia Noah Oliver; cherished son of the late Maye and Edgar M. Oliver, Sr.; devoted father of Randy (Cathy) Oliver and Greg (Barbara) Oliver; bonus dad of Mike (Rae Ann) Noah, Cindy Noah, and Gina (Dave) Oar; loving grandfather of Staci (Larry) Schirling, Wesley (Skye) Oliver, Bridgett (Brian) Hardage, and Kara Oliver; bonus grandfather of Cara (Francisco) Noah- Avalos, Kathryn Noah, Christine (Mark) Thompson, Nick (Krista) Oar, Elisabeth (Tanner) Logan, and Ben Oar; great-grandfather of Aly, Roland, Ellie, Gavin, Lexi, Connor, Carmella, Isabella, Issac, Gabriella, Cameron, Kailyn, Aaliyah, Tiana, Shabaz, Conrad, Harley, Hudson, Harper, and Ivy Jo; dear brother of Joe (Miriam-dec) Oliver. Ed is preceded in death by his wife Marceline Oliver in 1984, and his sisters, Norma Ruth Haynes and Jane Nichols.
Ed was married to Patricia for 14 years. Together, they enjoyed spending time together, including going out to eat and attending church. Ed served 6 combined years in the Army National Guard and Reserves. He spent more than 50 years as an insurance agent, including 40 years with the Farmers Insurance branch in Hot Springs, Arkansas.
He was known as a kind gentleman, with the gift of gab. Not only was he easy to please, but everyone truly liked him. He was known for always waving at his neighbors. He enjoyed woodworking, which included making birdhouses, which were incredible, and he loved cars. Ed loved being at home and took great pride in meticulously keeping his yard nice. Above all, Ed loved nothing more than spending time with his family.
He was a devoted member of the First Assembly Church in St. Peters, Missouri, and prior to that, of Lakeview Assembly in Hot Springs, Arkansas. Ed was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Convoy of Hope.
