Ed Hood

Edward Earl Hood, of O’Fallon, MO, passed away Monday, December 9, 2024 at the age of 64. Beloved husband of Cindy Hood; cherished son of Porter G. Hood and the late Peggy J. Hood; devoted father of Becca (Mitch) Faulkner, Aimee (Cyrus Taylor) Hood and Sam Hood; loving brother, uncle, cousin and friend to many. 

Ed Hood was a devoted leader in the Boy Scouts, Cub Scouts, and Adventure Crew, inspiring young people with his dedication and love for the outdoors. An active member of Calvary Church on Mid Rivers, Ed was deeply rooted in his faith and community. 

He had a passion for woodworking and a special fondness for caring for wildlife around his home, treating them as if they were family. Ed loved spending time outdoors, enjoying activities like fishing, biking, and hiking. He was a proud St. Louis Cardinals fan and cherished attending their games. The fresh air and beauty of nature brought him great joy, especially at the Lake of the Ozarks, where he met the love of his life, Cindy. Together, they built a loving marriage of 36 years. 

A wonderful father, husband, and kind-hearted man, Ed touched the lives of all who knew him. He was dearly loved and will be greatly missed.
