Earl "Bill" W. Haferkamp Jr., of Hazelwood, MO, passed away Thursday, February 23, 2023, at the age of 69. Beloved husband of the late Irene F. Haferkamp; devoted son of the late Betty Jeanne and Earl W. Haferkamp Sr.; loving father of Joshua William Haferkamp; dear brother of Nancy (Bob) Hinkel and John (Shelly) Haferkamp. He is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Bill was preceded in death by his sister, Beth (Ken surviving) Gruenewald, and his brother, George Haferkamp.
Bill proudly and honorably served in the United States Army. He worked as a mechanic for most of his life. If you needed something done, Bill was your man, and he would take care of it. He was a man of little words, but he had a large heart. He never made an enemy and had the greatest sense of humor. In his free time, Bill enjoyed working on cars, watching movies, and playing games like darts or Farkle. He was a selfless man who will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Bill's name to Hazelwood Baptist Church or a charity of the donor’s choice.
