Johnson, Earl E., of St. Peters, MO, formerly of Berkeley, MO, died on Tuesday, July 5, 2016, at the age of 91. Beloved husband of the late Irene M. Johnson; cherished son of the late John and Emma Johnson; devoted father of Laura (the late Thomas) Traber, Stephen (Tracey) Johnson, Nancy (Rodney) Fleer, Sharon (Larry) Taylor, and James (Kristine) Johnson; treasured grandfather of Kimberly Parkins, Jason Traber, Anthony Traber, Matthew Traber, Megan Taylor, Aaron Taylor, Sarah Johnson, Cole Johnson, and Chase Johnson; dear great grandfather of 6. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Elmer Johnson, Frederick “Fritz” Johnson, Christine Baumgarth, Carl Johnson, Louise Downing, Johnny Johnson, Charles Johnson, and Ethel Kuntz.
Earl proudly served in the U.S. Army during WWII. He was married to Irene for 60 wonderful years, and was a very devoted family man. He enjoyed bowling, traveling, camping, and going to the casino. He loved to play bingo and the dice game Left, Right, and Center. Earl was a member of the American Legion. He was quite a jokester, and could usually be found telling his favorite jokes to make us laugh. Earl was dearly loved and will be missed by all who knew him.
