Duane Thomas Lund

Duane Thomas Lund born in Red Wing, Minnesota on May 29, 1956, and passed away on June 11, 2024, in St. Peters, Missouri.

Fortified with the Sacraments of our Holy Mother Church and surrounded by his girls.

Beloved husband for 43 years to Gayle; Loving Dad to Emily (Jeff) Bazzle and Teresa (Kevin) Soest. Dear Grandpa to Henry and Charlotte Bazzle. Preceded in death by his parents, Vernon and Peggy Lund, and in-laws Louis and Gerry Guyre.

Dear brother to Dale (Lynn) Lund, Sue (Jack) Warfel and Doug (Heather) Lund. Dear brother-in-law, uncle, great uncle, friend, and colleague to many throughout the Archdiocese of St. Louis. Duane taught Math for 38 years at St. Thomas Aquinas-Mercy and Trinity Catholic High School. He coached Football, Girls Track, Girls Volleyball and Girls Tennis. He was the electronic basketball scorekeeper for many years at both his schools and Visitation Academy. Duane was so proud of his grandchildren and loved attending all their activities!

Duane had a love for all dogs, especially our little Annie and all his grand dogs! Duane was an avid Minnesota Vikings Fan!

Our family would like to thank the staff of Chestnut Terrace Memory Care of St. Peters, MO and Gentiva Hospice for their excellent and compassionate care.

Visitation will be on Monday, June 17 from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Baue Funeral Home Cave Springs

Mass will be held Tuesday, June 18 at St. Ferdinand Church in Florissant at 10:00 a.m.

Private Interment

In lieu of flowers, we ask for a tribute gift to be made to either St. Louis Children's Hospital, Cardiology Department, in honor of Teresa Lund (stlouischildrens.org/give).
