Dr. Stephen Bradley Lillard

Dr. Stephen Bradley Lillard, of Saint Charles, MO, passed away Sunday, August 24, 2025, at the age of 82. Beloved husband of Wilma (nee Karadja) Lillard; cherished son of the late Vernon and Jane Lillard; devoted father of John Lillard (Marcy), Zachary (Julie) Lillard, Gabrielle (Gregory Shasteen) Lillard, and Dominic Lillard; loving grandfather of Alisha Lillard, Kiley Lillard, Madalyn Lillard, and Connor Lillard; dear brother of the late Joseph Lillard and the late Vernon Lillard.

 Stephen, known affectionately to many as “Doc” took great pride in his work. He truly enjoyed being a doctor, but more importantly he deeply cared about his patients. Through his enthusiasm for teaching, Stephen fostered many careers of students in the healthcare field. He loved being able to share his knowledge and enjoyment for what he did. With his big personality, Stephen never met a stranger and was always willing to help and give generously to others. 

Whether recounting tales from his time proudly spent as a Major in the Army or his nights being the attending doctor for the WWF, his stories were long, but nevertheless entertaining. Stephen had a passion for riding his bike, as noted by his favored attire of bike shorts and Army sweatshirt. He loved working in the yard, riding his tractor, and finding new “projects” around the house. Stephen was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
