Ates, Sr., Doyle E., of Florissant, MO, died on Wednesday, June 1, 2016, at the age of 79. Loving husband of Donna J. Ates (nee: Neal); beloved son of the late Raymond and Mable Ates; devoted father of Diana (Ronald) Fick-Carr, Deborah (Mitchell) Miller and Doyle E. Ates, Jr.; cherished grandfather of Sarah Fick, Nicholas LeMaster, Jamie (Dale) LeMaster-Deetz, Austin Ates, Nathan Carr, Jessie Carr, Hailey Miller and Matthew Miller; treasured great-grandfather of Clint Belew, Curt Belew, John Bellman and Paislee LeMaster; dear brother of Bobbie Akers and Betty (Ronald) Black. He is preceded in death by one sister and 2 brothers.
Doyle was a member of the International Association of Machinist Aerospace Workers union #837B and a longtime member of St. Mark’s Methodist Church, Florissant, MO.
