Dorothy A. (Kamer) Zoellner, of O’Fallon, Missouri passed away at the age of 92 on Wednesday June 4, 2025. She was married to John J. Zoellner, Sr. for 63 years before his passing. Dorothy was a devoted mother of John J. (Sharon) Zoellner, Jr., Patricia Crossen, James (Madonna) Zoellner, Mary Zoellner, Stephen Zoellner and loving grandmother of Shelley Crossen, Tina (Jeff) Simmons, Michelle (Dennis) Henry, Melissa (Jason) Davis, James (Jennifer) Zoellner, and Jessica (Scott) Standiford; treasured great-grandmother of ten. Dear sister of James (Kristi) Kamer and Kathy (Don) Faught. Dorothy is preceded in death by her parents Michael and Agnes Kamer, siblings; Mary Ann Lambrecht, Teresa Berberick, Michael Kamer; son Stephen Zoellner and daughter-in-law Madonna (Boul) Zoellner.

Dorothy had a long life sharing her musical talent playing piano and organ. As a young girl in grade school, she began playing organ at mass for her local church in Topeka, Kansas. As a young woman, she studied music at the University of Saint Mary in Leavenworth, Kansas. As a young mother, she taught piano and organ. She was the accompanist for many musicals at St Dominic’s High School in O’Fallon, MO.

Dorothy was a longtime parishioner of Assumption Catholic Church, in O’Fallon. Her passion for music was displayed for over 65 years at church masses, weddings, and funerals. She was also an avid fan of ragtime music. She and her husband, John, were regular attendees at the Scott Joplin Ragtime Festival in Sedalia, MO, for many years.

Dorothy also enjoyed traveling. She and her husband enjoyed many years of their retirement driving across the country to visit their out-of-state children and other family members. Dorothy even traveled to Europe several times, including visits to Medjugorje (Bosnia), Germany, Switzerland, and sang with a choir at the Vatican in Rome. She also enjoyed spending time with her wonderful family.

Dorothy will be remembered for her faith and devotion to God and family and her many years of musical support as a church organist, as well as her quick wit and beautiful smile.
