In Loving Memory of Dorothy “Sharon” Boehmer (née Slattery)

Dorothy “Sharon” Boehmer, of Hawk Point, MO, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, June 7, 2025, at the age of 71, after a beautiful life well lived.

Beloved wife of Ronald D. Boehmer; cherished daughter of the late John and Ita Slattery; devoted mother of Aimee (Jimmy) Visney; bonus mother of Dee (Rob) Barrett; loving Nana of Aiden and Christian Visney; dear sister of John (Darlene) Slattery, Rosemary Slattery, Anne (Rick) Boedeker, Mary Schneider, Joseph Slattery, and Neal (Carmen) Slattery.

Sharon was small in stature but mighty in love. She was the kindest soul, full of grace, mercy, and a quiet strength that touched everyone who had the blessing of knowing her.

A devoted partner to Ron for over 45 years, Sharon found joy in the simple things, especially casting a line beside him and soaking in the peace of their cozy log home nestled in nature. Surrounded by wildlife and wrapped in serenity, it was the place her heart felt most at peace. Their love was grounded in deep friendship, a strong foundation built over decades of cherished memories.

She adored her family, especially her grandsons, Aiden and Christian, who lit up her world. Her big Irish family brought her endless joy; time spent with her sisters, brothers, nieces, and nephews was always filled with laughter and love.

For 21 years, Sharon faithfully gathered with her beloved Shine (TGIT) Bible study sisters. That circle of friendship and faith was a true lifeline, one she nurtured and drew strength from with humility and joy. She didn’t just talk about her faith; she lived it daily. Her actions were a reflection of Jesus, whom she loved so dearly.

She would often repeat the phrase “patience is a virtue”, words that lovingly drove her daughter a little crazy, but perfectly captured Sharon’s gentle, enduring spirit.

Sharon’s life was a testament to quiet strength, unwavering faith, and a love that ran incredibly deep. She gave of herself generously, walked humbly, and loved without limits. Her legacy of kindness will endure, echoing through generations.

She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who were blessed enough to know and love her.

Memorials may be made in Dorothy 's name to Smile Train and the VFW.
