Dorothy Martha Barnes

Dorothy Martha Barnes (nee Gegg), 96, of Saint Louis, MO, passed away Wednesday, May 6, 2026. She was born in St. Genevieve, MO to the late William and Rose Gegg. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her beloved husband, William Henry Barnes; her cherished daughter, Debbie Reams; as well as her siblings, Joseph and Anna Marie “Susie”; she was the devoted mother of Sandra (John) Haug, Ronald (Mimi) Barnes, and Bruce (Linda) Barnes; loving grandmother of eight and great grandmother of seven; treasured longtime companion of Wayne Kilbreath, sister to Betty, Billy, and Loretta “Tootie”; and is also survived by numerous other friends and family.

Dorothy was a joyful homemaker who found great happiness in gardening, caring for her yard, and spending time with her family. She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Memorials may be made in Dorothy's name to Shriners Hospital or the American Cancer Society.
