Dorothy A. Allen

Allen, Dorothy Ann (nee: Martin) of St. Charles, MO, died on Wednesday, January 6, 2016, at the age of 87. Beloved daughter of the late William and Ruth Martin; devoted mother of Ruth (Michael) Conant and David (Patricia) Allen; cherished grandmother of Jessica (Chris) Hente, Beckie (Jeremiah) Bushdeicker, Jay (Karina) Conant, Natalie (Brock) Ward, and Nicole (Greg) Wood; treasured great-grandmother of Gavin, Olivia, Chloe, Caelan, Mackenzie, Aiden, J.J., Addison, Lily, and Avery. She is preceded in death by her brother William M. Martin, Jr.

Dorothy retired from Famous Barr after more than 30 years of employment as Credit Manager. She enjoyed sewing, embroidering, cooking, reading, and making cookies with her grandchildren. She had a very strong faith and she taught Sunday school. She was very caring and always willing to help. But most of all she loved being with her family.
