Dorlis Kirchner, age 88, passed from this life on Wednesday, November 21, 2018. She is preceded in death by her husband, Jack Kirchner, Dorlis leaves behind two loving children; a son, Michael Kirchner and a daughter, Kerry (Kirchner) Yaeger.
Dorlis was such a genuine, kind and caring individual all who met her liked her -- and all who knew her loved her. Ahead of her time, Dorlis earned a Bachelor's degree from the University of Illinois and developed a career as an executive secretary -- while maintaining a warm and loving home for her husband and two children. Later in life, Dorlis contributed to her church and community by aptly filling volunteer roles until her health no longer permitted. Dorlis touched the lives of many and will be sorely missed.
Contributions in lieu of flowers may be made to the Salvation Army.
